A television series featuring Lyudmyla Kozlovska in the main role is a truly unique experience. The protagonists are just perfect in their roles. Everything is planned, studied and well thought out. There are no accidental gestures. Even seemingly chance photos communicate precisely what they are meant to: confidence and control.
Nothing is able to shatter Mrs Kozlovska’s confidence. Neither compromising leaks about the financing of her foundation (it turns out she maintains it alone), nor the exposure of political motivations and eastern affiliations, nor surprising video recordings that were taken in a hotel and later reported in the media. She and her husband always appear to be smiling, proud, conscious of the game.
There is a bigger secret to this. Do activists of non-governmental organizations behave like that? From where does this professionalism come from? What trainers and training are behind this?
Her aim is not only to humiliate the Polish government; she’s all over the head of the Polish state and all of Poland. Her provocations have a clear message: look this isn’t a serious structure, they wrote me onto a list and I’m still doing what I want
This isn’t just between Mrs Lyudmyla and the current Polish government because Mrs Lyudmyla is representing more than herself. Her aim is not only to humiliate the Polish government; she’s all over the head of the Polish state and all of Poland. Her provocations have a clear message: look this isn’t a serious structure, they wrote me onto a list and I’m still doing what I want.
Someone might say: that’s the message people like Verhofstadt want to send. True, but not just them. They’re just useful donkeys, to put it mildly. Mrs Lyudmyla is in great spirits today. Many activists from the East, including those waving the banners of democracy do not respect Poland and never have.
There is a Polish saying that someone will always get the last laugh. Mrs Lyudmyla and her friends and sponsors still can’t be sure who will win the 2019 Polish elections. After all, Poles like to ruin even the best of scenarios.
