While U.S. President Joe Biden is announcing one arms shipment after another, the majority of Americans are against military aid to Ukraine, according to the most recent CBS/YouGov survey.

According to the poll, 51 percent do not want the United States to continue financing the war, while 49 percent consider the support still necessary.

Pew Research data from July had shown a minimal majority who would continue to support Ukraine in the Russian-Ukrainian war, but since then the number of opponents has increased to being a majority.

A further breakdown by the Washington Examiner revealed that Democrats were far more likely to support continued military aid for Ukraine at 72 percent, while Republicans were on the other side of the spectrum with just 36 percent in favor. Along the lines of right versus left, 65 percent of self-identified conservatives were against military aid and 74 percent of self-identified liberals were in favor.

In terms of sex, men were split down the middle, and women were 52 percent against, 48 percent in favor.

President Joe Biden seems to be ignoring any shift in Americans’ enthusiasm for war, not only sending landmines to Ukraine, despite international outrage, but also authorizing long-range missile strikes against Russian targets, allowing for a dangerous escalation that could start a world war.

President-elect Trump has made peace a priority for his incoming administration, with his camp calling out Biden’s moves to escalate the conflict as outright profiteering.
