After French authorities arrested a Tunisian migrant for the brutal rape of a 90-year-old woman in the Madeleine district this past Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, information has now been revealed that the man had an open deportation order.
“The individual who committed the abominable rape of a 90-year-old woman on Boulevard de la Madeleine in Nice was under an OQTF (deportation order)! Once again, someone who had no business being in France commits an abomination. When are we going to put an end to this criminal policy!?” wrote Eric Ciotti, President of the UPA party and a representative in Nice.

According to reliable police sources, a 90-year-old woman was reportedly raped after an intruder gained access to her home. A suspect was apprehended shortly after the incident.
According to a communique issued about the incident, “The victim stated that around 4:00 or 5:00 a.m., an individual forced his way into her apartment and violently penetrated her multiple times. She was hospitalized with injuries to her hands, arms, and legs, resulting in a five-day period of total incapacity for work.”
According to French news outlet Nice Matin, when the stranger knocked on the victim’s door, “she thought it was a visit from a nurse” and opened it without hesitation.
Once inside, the man immediately turned violent. The suspect allegedly forced the woman to perform “one blowjob” and subjected her to “various physical abuses.”
The victim’s daughter alerted the national police just after 6 a.m., triggering an immediate manhunt. Officers successfully located a suspect, who was “arrested in a squat” nearby.
The elderly victim was treated by emergency responders and “driven to Pasteur 2 hospital” for medical care. She is reportedly suffering from severe physical wounds and psychological damage.
The Criminal Brigade of the Nice Local Judicial Police Service (SLPJ) is currently interrogating the individual under a flagrante delicto investigation for the rape of a vulnerable person.
The individual also apparently was intoxicated during the incident, with the communiqué further reading: “At the time of his arrest, the suspect had a blood alcohol level of 0.86 mg/l and tested positive for cannabis and cocaine. While he admitted to entering the victim’s apartment, he denied the rape. Born in Tunisia in 1997, the suspect had been issued a deportation order and placed under house arrest by the Saône-et-Loire prefecture on January 11, 2026. Unknown to the police and with no prior criminal record, he will be brought before a judge tomorrow morning as part of a preliminary investigation for rape of a vulnerable person.”
