In the Austrian city of St. Pölten, a 28-year-old Afghan brutally attacked his Afghan partner during an argument and tried to cut off her nipple with a knife in mid-May. Prosecutors are also investigating the charge of rape as well. The details are just being released now.
The attack began in their multi-family house in St. Pölten. The woman managed to escape to a neighbor, while the aggressor is in pretrial detention, according to Austrian outlet Heute.
On Monday, Lower Austria’s vice-president and FPÖ state party leader Udo Landbauer reacted to the incident from a political perspective. “This is the result of imported violence from Afghanistan and other Muslim countries. There is no place in Austria for such people,” he said in a statement.
He continued by saying the “excess of violence” is “proof of the failed integration policy of the single party” and “the classic case for remigration.”
“What else has to happen before ÖVP Interior Minister Karner finally pulls the emergency asylum brake and ensures that not a single asylum seeker enters the country?” asked Landbauer. “That’s enough. Too many women and children have already fallen victim to the unbridled welcoming policy.”
Remix News has actually reported on this specific small Austrian city before. In that report, it was revealed that 72 percent of all welfare recipients were foreigners in St. Pölten.
When just examining two foreign groups, the data shows that 49 percent of all social assistance paid out in the small city of approximately 56,000 people is going to just two groups of origin: Syrians and Afghans, according to the Austria Press Agency (APA).
