US Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe said in an interview on Monday that Hunter Biden’s laptop is “not part of some Russian disinformation campaign”. Ratcliffe then slammed Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA), who heads the House of Representative’s Intelligence Committee, for claiming otherwise on national television.

Over the weekend, following the revelations that came from the emails that were retrieved from Hunter Biden’s laptop, Schiff, during an interview with CNN, said, “We know that this whole smear on Joe Biden comes from the Kremlin. That’s been clear for well over a year now that they’ve been pushing this false narrative about this vice president and his son.”

When asked by Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo whether the allegations made by Schiff, who over the weekend appeared on several shows aired by the mainstream press, actually held any water, President Trump’s spy chief set the record straight.

“Let me be clear: the intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that. And we have shared no intelligence with Adam Schiff, or any member of Congress.

“Hunter Biden’s laptop is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign,” the intelligence chief said, adding that “this is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign.”

Ratcliffe, during the interview, also confirmed that the laptop is presently “in the jurisdiction of the FBI”.

“The FBI has had possession of this. Without commenting on any investigation that they may or may not have, their investigation is not centered around Russian disinformation and the intelligence community is not playing any role with respect to that.”

Radcliffe’s statements have been supported by a senior intelligence official who also spoke with Fox News.

“Ratcliffe is 100% correct. There is no intelligence at this time to support Chairman Schiff’s statement that recent stories on Biden’s foreign business dealings are part of a smart campaign that ‘comes from the Kremlin.’ Numerous foreign adversaries are seeking to influence American politics, policies, and media narratives. They don’t need any help from politicians who spread false information under the guise of intelligence,” said Ratcliffe.

Details from the emails in question emerged last Wednesday, Oct. 14, when the New York Post published a bombshell article which revealed that Joe Biden’s son Hunter had introduced him to a top executive at the Ukrainian gas company Bursima, less than one year before he pressured Ukrainian state officials to fire prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who had been looking into the firm’s shady business dealings.

Shokin himself said that he had made “specific plans” to investigate Burisma which “included interrogations and other crime-investigation procedures into all members of the executive board, including Hunter Biden.”

On Monday, Fox News reported that it had obtained documents which appear to show Hunter Biden’s signature on paperwork from the computer repair shop in Delaware, where the Democratic Presidential nominee’s son is said to have left the laptop containing the damning information.

The paperwork reportedly signed by Hunter Biden details repairs done on three MacBook Pro laptops at “The Mac Shop” in Wilmington, Delaware. In addition to the signature, Biden’s name appears  on the document in the “bill to” section.

Last week, following slanderous comments made by Joe Biden at town hall event where he labeled Hungary and Poland as “totalitarian” states, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter hit back against the presidential hopeful, urging him to address the corruption allegations against he and his son before commenting on Hungary, Remix News reported.

“It would be great if Joe Biden could tell us why he put pressure on the Ukrainian government to fire its chief prosecutor, and how all of this related to the investigation into his son’s Ukrainian energy deals grinding to a halt,” Szijjártó said in a video response to Biden’s comments.

Szijjártó then urged Biden to explain to public how he used his position as vice president of the United States to generate enormous profits for his son Hunter and Burisma.
