The Polish Ministry of Health has confirmed the country’s first case of coronavirus in Zielona Góra, located in the western part of the country. The patient is reported in good condition and being kept in quarantine inside a Polish hospital after returning from a trip to Germany. The Polish Ministry of Health said that the individual likely did not have many contacts with the public in Poland.
The news in Poland comes as global cases of coronavirus pass 93,000.
Coronavirus has now spread to the eastern parts of Germany as well, with schools being closed and major events being cancelled in cities such as Leipzig and Berlin. Six people are now reported infected with the virus in Berlin.
