Large street battles broke out in the troubled Guillotière district, in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon involving dozens of individuals.
“Ethnic clashes at La Guillotière (Lyon) between Algerians and Malians,” wrote Reconquête candidate in the legislative elections, Damien Rieu.

It remains unclear why dozens of individuals ended up clashing in the middle of the T1 train tracks, but the multicultural neighborhood is known for its high crime rates and gang activities.
According to initial information, two rival gangs threw projectiles at each other until the police intervened, with the police being forced to use tear gas to put an end to the brawl.
At the same location, one of the rioters is seen hitting a bus repeatedly and refusing to allow the driver to move forward.
“Cultural enrichment in progress at the Guillotière?” asked MEP Jerome Riviera, who also serves as vice-president of Reconquête.
