Krzysztof Zanussi heads Hungarian film festival jury

Polish film and theatre director Krzysztof Zanussi will be the president of the 15th Jameson CineFest in the northeast Hungarian city of Miskolc to be held between September 14 and 23, according to Magyar Hírlap.

Zanussi, a producer and screenwriter, is also a professor of European film at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland where he conducts a summer workshop. He is also a professor at the Silesian University in Katowice.

He directed about 30 movies, of which the 1980 The Constant Factor (original Polish title: Constans) won the Jury Prize at the 1980 Cannes Film Festival and the 2000 Life as a Fatal Sexually Transmitted Disease won the Golden St. George at the 22nd Moscow FIlm Festival.

Besides heading the jury, the life achievements of Zanussi will also be honored at the festival with the screening of three of his best films, he will also hold a master course and will be given a Life Achievements Award.
