The European Union famously accepted millions of refugees from other countries at war, the majority of which were military-aged males. Now, those protections will be ending for Ukrainian males who are fleeing conscription in Ukraine.
Magnus Brunner, EU commissioner for internal affairs and migration, announced that the European Commission proposes to extend temporary protection for Ukrainians until March 4, 2028, with the exception of people fleeing military service in Ukraine.
“To ensure this, temporary protection is not to be granted as a rule to newly arriving persons, who are not authorized by the Ukrainian authorities to leave Ukraine in view of their military obligations,” said Brunner. “This is what Ukraine has asked us to do, and this is what we are doing.”
He added that the European Commission’s proposal “takes into account Ukraine’s changing defense and reconstruction needs.”
Already, hundreds of thousands of young Ukrainian males have died at the front or been seriously wounded. However, Europe seems increasingly dedicated to funneling even more Ukrainian youth to the frontlines.
While the Ukrainian males already under protection will not have their protection dropped, military-aged males who arrive in the EU in the future will not be granted asylum rights.

At the same time, Denmark announced yesterday it will be the first country to no longer provide temporary protection to Ukrainian male refugees aged 23 to 60. The portal reminds that under Ukrainian law, men of this age do not have the right to leave the country without a valid reason.
Other Ukrainian groups, such as women, will continue to receive active refugee protections – a clear gender double-standard from the EU.
“Today we are presenting a proposal to extend temporary protection for another year – until March 4, 2028,” the commissioner announced.
George Soros predicted all of this
As Remix News previously reported, there was one man who predicted much of what has come to pass in the battle in the east of Europe: George Soros.
The billionaire oligarch financier, often portrayed as a humanist, promoted a hard-nosed geopolitical strategy in his 1993 piece entitled “Toward a New World Order: The Future of NATO.” In the piece, he outlines how Eastern Europeans could be used as the “manpower” in coming conflicts in an effort to reduce the number of deaths in Western countries, which Soros argues the West would not politically tolerate, unlike the east of Europe.
“The United States would not be called upon to act as the policeman of the world. When it acts, it would act in conjunction with others. Incidentally, the combination of manpower from Eastern Europe with the technical capabilities of NATO would greatly enhance the military potential of the Partnership because it would reduce the risk of body bags for NATO countries, which is the main constraint on their willingness to act. This is a viable alternative to the looming world disorder,” wrote Soros in the article.
Notably, the body bags have piled up in Ukraine to an enormous degree, yet Europe’s chickenhawks want more men sent to the front. The EU’s latest decision to suspend asylum for Ukrainian males means all their talk of “protecting war refugees” turned out to be rather hollow. Cynically, the fact that these refugees are Europeans may play a large role in their decision, since the EU has never rejected asylum protection from those fleeing war for any other ethnic group.
Even to this day with the war over in Syria, European left-wing parties are racing to naturalize these migrants instead of sending them home to rebuild their countries. During the height of the war with Assad, there was also never serious effort to send Syrians back to fight him, either.
The demographic situation in Ukraine is dire. It features the lowest birth rate and the highest mortality rate of any nation in the world. The EU appears to be in no mood to slow down this demographic disaster.
Even if the war ends, it remains unclear how many Ukrainian refugees will return to their country. Many of Ukraine’s women have already settled down in Western countries and even found new partners while Ukraine’s young males have been sent to die in waves in the east. Now, it remains unclear whether Ukraine’s population will ever recover, even in the most optimistic scenarios, following the war.
The EU and the business oligarchy running Ukraine also have a plan for that: import the Third World.
Not only are Ukrainians being forced to fight a war many of them no longer want to fight, but once they die, their country could very well be given away to Africans, Asians and Middle Easterners.
