The Polish government has finally recognized the problem of unrestricted access to pornography by children but new laws are needed as soon as possible to save our children’s future.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has responded by meeting with the council for family affairs, but new laws need to be formulated to restrict pornography access as soon as possible.
It is a serious problem that so many children watch pornography. Among teens between the ages of 14 and 16, 60 percent of boys and over 20 percent of girls have admitted to watching pornography fairly regularly.
This data is supported by the findings of the Institute for Integrated Prevention, which carried out surveys on over 10,000 middle school students.
The situation has grown worse as children increasingly gain access to mobile devices without any restrictions. According to research conducted by the Empowering Children Foundation, 92 percent of kids found pornography through the internet with 72 percent using their smartphone, 34 percent with their laptops, 26 percent with desktops, and 11 percent with tablets.
