The age of an average Pole’s car has decreased from 17 years in 2017 to 13 years in 2018, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA). Although Poland still lags behind other EU countries in terms of the age of cars on the road, recent months have seen an improvement.
The Slovak car industry produces 192 vehicles per thousand inhabitants, which is the highest number in the world. Following Jaguar Land Rover’s contribution to the country, this number should now be even higher.
Despite the fact that the German BMW company chose Hungary as the new location of its EUR 1 billion car factory, the plant could provide business opportunities to Slovak companies as well, according to the TASR news agency.
