We already know what they are capable of when they are in power, but Charlie Kirk’s death shows us what they are capable of when they are out of power. After Trump won, it was no longer about free and peaceful debate and winning at the ballot box, it became about taking back power through the barrel of a gun.
When they are in power, they launch mass surveillance against the right, dox them, censor them, smear them in the most powerful news outlets, cancel them, and get them fired from their jobs. They launch law enforcement investigations and relentlessly try to imprison them, whether it’s Trump, Salvini, Le Pen, or the tens of thousands of people simply voicing their opinion on social media who now face house raids and prosecution across the West.
They call the outright “Nazis,” they launched rabid doxxing NGOs like Hope Not Hate after them and their families, and then claim the right is a “threat to democracy.”
In some countries, like Germany, when they are in power, they talk about banning parties outright — because they can, because they have the power.
In countries like the U.K., where the right is not even close to power, they direct intelligence agency resources and well-funded and shadowy NGOs to hunt down any voice — anonymous or public — that challenges their power.
In the United States, Trump already survived multiple assassination attempts, all while the international left cheered on each one of them, lamenting that the “fascist” survived.
However, they do not just want Trump dead and in prison, they also want you in prison. This has been the takeaway from many in conservative, right-wing, and libertarian movements for a long time now, the death of Kirk only brings it home in a deeply painful manner. Videos of Kirk’s children, who now will grow up without a father, show us what is at stake.
The ghouls doing the Mexican hat dance on the corpse of Kirk make it all difficult to stomach. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of videos trending across BlueSky, Reddit, and TikTok, all celebrating the death of Kirk in the most twisted and heinous ways. On top of that, there are endless text posts celebrating his death on these various platforms.
It’s a very good day for many of these people.
Kirk himself warned about this.
The fact that leftists are celebrating an assassination so brazenly, inside a university, widely perceived as a safe space for free expression and open debate, is shocking on an entirely new level. We do not know the motives of the killer yet, but we do know there is a very big party for huge swathes of the left.
A new standard has been set.

For the few on the right who still believed that, Kirk’s death is going to put things in perspective.
One of Kirk’s last posts had to do with a topic Remix News has written extensively about, which is the deterioration in security across the Western world. He specifically addresses the racial double-standards involved in the brutal murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska by a Black career criminal in Charlotte, North Carolina.

This is only one of many issues that Kirk addressed on a regular basis, but clearly, it was important to him.
Kirk often addressed some of the core issues behind the increase in insecurity, which are open borders, lax immigration, and a belief that criminals should not be held accountable for their crimes. Hatred of White people has now also become a factor.
This may all sound very reasonable to many, but to the left, these topics are not open to discussion.
They want these topics and the people who discuss them to be censored and they want anyone discussing these topics in prison or sent into financial ruin. In many cases, they will cheer on your death if you openly discuss a topic they deem not open for debate.
At even the highest level of politics, even within the parties themselves, they are also not even willing to have a debate on these issues. In the elections in Cologne, Germany, for instance, all parties have agreed to talk about migration in only positive terms, even if migration is clearly not always a benefit but a complicated issue fraught with pros and cons. The Alternative for Germany (AfD) is the only party that has not signed on to this vow.
This type of shutdown in discourse from the left is worrying, but there will be no more dissent anymore. The time for open debate is over for them.
Now, it is time to censor, dox, imprison, and even kill if necessary.
Anything to stay in power.
I personally have admired many on the right for putting their names to their faces over the years, despite the severe risks involved.
As the editor of Remix News, I have chosen to remain anonymous, as many others have as well. Many have been doxxed, and while some, like Raw Egg Nationalist (Charles Cornish-Dale), embraced it and have even put their faces out publicly on a regular basis, for others, it has been ruinous.
Cornish-Dale has speculated what role intelligence agencies may have played in his doxxing, and his essay is worth a read.
People who put their face out there on the right, be they politicians, journalists, or influencers, are brave individuals. They know who they are.
Kirk talked about what he has gone through, and he was certainly one of the moderate voices.

It will almost always be true that those people like Kirk, who head out into the public and “put themselves out there,” will be the most effective voices in terms of influencing and changing people’s minds. However, not everyone is willing to be “assaulted publicly,” face down “multiple death threats,” and be “stormed out of restaurants.” I certainly am not.
There are too many unhinged people like this out there for me.

For the many people on the right putting their names and faces out there, it is more dangerous than ever to do so, and they should always put their safety first and foremost. They have my deepest respect, and I can only hope they all stay safe. The days of “open debate” are now over. Do not naively think speaking at a university or a conference is a safe space. They are out for blood and will not spend a single moment thinking about you, your family, or any children you may leave behind.
Kirk’s death shows us what these people are capable of, and just how much they can celebrate the death of anyone they view as “right wing” or “conservative” with unbridled and effusive joy.
