More than two-thirds of Poles support a ban on sex changes for minors either through surgery or hormone therapy, recent polling has revealed.
According to a Social Changes study for the wpolityce.pl news outlet, 69 percent of respondents opposed the availability of sex change operations and medication for minors. On the contrary, just 12 percent supported the move, while 19 percent had no firm opinion.
When broken down by party affiliation, the survey revealed that a majority of voters of all major political parties in Poland were opposed to the measures.
The wPolityce.pl portal explained that the survey topic was chosen due to the growing problem of indoctrination of children in the context of sex changes.
Transsexual propaganda has had dramatic effects worldwide. Thousands of young people believe that the answer to their natural doubts associated with adolescence is a sex change, carried out with surgery and pharmacology. These are in fact irreversible procedures, and decisions are often made against the will of parents but with the support of left-wing organizations.
In Poland, the Ordo Iuris legal institute has proposed the introduction of a ban on sex changes for minors. Currently, minors can undergo procedures related to the correction of biological sex with the consent of their parents, but the Ordo Iuris Institute wants to change this, according to a report by the Rzeczpospolita newspaper back in May.
“Ban the mutilation of children. Ban the chemical castration of children,” tweeted Jerzy Kwaśniewski, the president of the Ordo Iuris Institute, referring to the draft law prohibiting sex changes for minors.
