Poland’s national carrier LOT is facing losses of approximately €120 million as a result of the airline having to ground the Boeing 737 Max model.

The grounding of the Boeing 737 Max planes is causing increasing problems for airlines all over the globe. The grounding was initiated on March 13 of last year after the second air disaster of the model in just a few months.

It had been hoped that the grounding would last just a few months, but the planes have been grounded for nearly a year with no end in sight.

According to reports, some airlines have already settled with Boeing over their compensation claims. Turkish Airlines is rumored to have received $225 million for the 75 planes they had ordered and American Airlines and Southwest are also reported to have made similar settlements.
