Soros has buried his friends in the European Union

Now that the European Union is at the edge of a precipice, the pretend philantropist is burying former friends with his own hands, Magyar Nemzet columnist Árpád Nagy writes.

The billionaire financier and his lobbyists held a meeting to discuss a European leadership that has obediently followed their agenda. Now that the European Union is at the edge of a precipice, the pretend philantropist is burying those lackeys and the present structure of the EU with his own hands.

The article in which he does so has been published by the very same Project Syndicate that aired his plan years ago, despite the denials of the left. This one will be pretty difficult do hide.

The most pertinent part of the article – besides the usual Soros diatribes – is him likening the European Union to the pre-collapsed Soviet Union.

“Europe is sleepwalking into oblivion, and the people of Europe need to wake up before it is too late. If they don’t, the European Union will go the way of the Soviet Union in 1991,” Soros writes. “The current leadership is reminiscent of the politburo when the Soviet Union collapsed – continuing to issue ukazes (ukaz – imperial proclamation in Russian) as if they were still relevant.”

The second sentence also gives a very poor account of the EU leadership and unmasks them at the same time. Not that it would take a particular leap of imagination to liken an ailing Juncker to a Yeltsin on the brink of collapse.

It seems that finally some light has penetrated into the Soros-tunnel and he realized what has for years been obvious to all Europeans capable of rational thought.
