The public has a high level of trust in Polish President Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Defense Chief Mariusz Błaszczak and has less trust for liberal PO leader Donald Tusk, the ruling party leader Jarosław Kaczyński and Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro, according to CBOS agency polling.
Polish President Andrzej Duda tops the new poll, with 60 percent expressing trust in him and only 29 percent finding him untrustworthy. Support for him rose by 4 percent from last month, and distrust fell by 3 percent.
Second in the rankings is Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak, who is trusted by 44 percent and distrusted by 28 percent. He is also more popular than he was last month.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki also saw his ratings rise last month. He is trusted by 43 percent of the Polish citizens polled, a rise of 2 percent, and distrusted by 28 percent, down 1 percent.
Liberal Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski is trusted by 38 percent of those surveyed, but he is also distrusted by 43 percent. He is just two points ahead of Jarosław Kaczyński, who is trusted by 36 percent. However, Kaczyński, the leader of Law and Justice (PiS), is distrusted by a majority of voters (51 percent).
The poll also shows 31 percent trust Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro while 50 percent distrust him. However, that result is still better than the figures recorded by liberal Civic Platform (PO) leader Donald Tusk. His trust rating is 26 percent, while 58 percent distrust him. In his case, his popularity fell 4 percent from last month, and his unpopularity rose by 2 percent.
