Other countries in the region look to Poland for guidance, says US Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan. He underlined the importance of Poland as a US ally and the need to increase its security, and denounced Nord Stream 2 (NS2).
Germany, who was previously skeptical about the Three Seas Initiative, wants to join the project, reports the German News Agency (DPA). Heiko Maas, Germany’s foreign minister, wants his country to be “an active part” of the Three Seas.
“The Three Seas is part of the EU and NATO,” said President Andrzej Duda at the Three Seas summit in Bucharest. During his speech, he outlined how and why the Three Seas is not only a European initiative but also Transatlantic.
