Russia will not participate in the Middle East conference in Warsaw in February, Polish foreign minister Jacek Czaputowicz has said. In an interview for Rzeczpospolita he also explains why Poland will not have to choose between the US and the EU in the future.
Building a Europe based on nation states and not from above them “stems from a real need of society,” says Jacek Czaputowicz. The Polish Foreign Minister also underlined the importance of fulfilling Polish interests through cooperation with other Central European partners.
Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz has informed NATO of plans to establish an American military base in Poland. “The eventual presence of American troops to a greater extent will help increase the security of Poland, the region and the entire North-Atlantic alliance,” says Czaputowicz.
Polish foreign minister Jacek Czaputowicz along with the foreign ministers of Lithuania, Latvia and the deputy prime minister of Ukraine travelled to the border of Georgia and South Ossetia, on the tenth anniversary of Russian aggression in Georgia.
